Support Us

Tread Lightly provides many opportunities for organisations or individuals to support what we do - from financial support, volunteering to help deliver the Tread Lightly programmes to schools or at events that we organise, to providing inkind support or donations of goods and services.

The Tread Lightly Charitable Trust is extremely grateful for all the support it receives and acknowledges that its work would not be possible without the support of many organisations and individuals.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact us.

Volunteering

The Tread Lightly Caravan and Drain Game rely on volunteers to help facilitate student learning for each class session. Volunteers are usually parent helpers, but this is also an opportunity for corporate volunteers.

Volunteers can either help out for a session (50 min or 90 min) or for a day while the Tread Lightly Caravan or Drain Game is at a school. These volunteers help run some of our activity stations and are provided with training before the session starts.

This is a great opportunity for parents to learn new stuff and to share the Tread Lightly experience with their children, or for corporate volunteers to share some of their knowledge with students.

If you are interested in volunteering on the TLC or Drain Game please contact us.

Financial or In-kind Support

Tread Lightly provides an opportunity for companies to support a charitable organisation that is committed to delivering high quality environmental education to Auckland schools, engaging with individuals and families to change non-sustainable everyday living practices and working on a school or community level for students to take action to make a positive difference to their environment.

Tread Lightly programmes host over 10,000 students a year and creates meaningful communication channels with students' families.

If you are interested in supporting Tread Lightly please email Kaye Hawkins: [email protected] to discuss your ideas.

Community events

The Tread Lightly Caravan or Drain Game are available for hire for community events. Tread Lightly staff are present throughout the day to manage visitors to ensure a meaningful experience for everyone.

If you are interested in having Tread Lightly at your next community event to increase awareness of sustainable living or healthy waterways in your community, please email Kaye Hawkins: [email protected].
